General Refund Policy

Before you register for classes, please be aware that we have updated our cancellation/refund policy.  A full refund will no longer be issued.

Unless otherwise specified, if you cancel one month before classes begin you will receive a refund minus a $40.00 materials/admin fee.  Cancellations between one month to two weeks before classes begin will receive a 50% refund.  There will be NO refund issued within two weeks of classes beginning.  If you join a session already in progress, there will be no refund.

Switching classes at any time will incur a $20.00 admin fee, and your spot in the new class will not be guaranteed until payment has been received.  Contact the studio for switching instructions.

Single Event/Workshop Refund Policy

Unless otherwise specified, if you cancel two weeks before the event/workshop, you will receive a full refund of your deposit less a 10% processing fee.  Cancellations within 1-2 weeks before event/workshop will receive a 50% refund.  NO refund will be issued within one week of event/workshop.

Missed Class Policy

If your child is ill, please keep them home.  Children not feeling well do not enjoy their time with us.  Unfortunately, we do not offer make-up days (except for Nassau County Schools closures due to weather-related events).  If possible, we will provide the primary component of the missed lesson so the child can complete the project at home using their own supplies (for some lessons, such as clay, this will not be possible).

Class Make-Up Policy

If Nassau County Schools close due to weather-related events, Amelia Art Studio will also be closed.  We make every effort to offer make-up day(s) for when such closures occur.  Announcements will be posted under the News/Updates tab on the website.
